Departments
Administrators Office
The Village Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Village. The Administrator leads, plans, organizes, and directs Village operations toward the fulfillment of policies and priorities determined by the Village Board.
Clerk's Office
The Village Clerk's office is responsible for animal licensing information, election management, licenses and permits, property assessments, and records management. The Clerks Office preserves Village records, provides information, and performs other duties as prescribed by state law and local ordinance.
Community and Economic Development
Community and Economic Development encompasses building inspections, engineering, planning & zoning, and economic development operations within the Village.
Emergency Services
The Belleville Area EMS and the Volunteer Fire Department are highly trained and dedicated emergency personnel.
Finance
The Finance (Treasurer) Department is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of all Village funds. This includes: accounts payable, billing and collections, investment and cash management, maintenance of all financial records, payroll for all Village Government Fund employees, and property tax collection.
Library
The Belleville Public Library offers both books and programming for youth and adults.
Municipal Court
The Belleville Municipal Court handles all traffic and ordinance violations.
Police
The Police Department provides a safe place to live, work, and play through quality law enforcement, focused on reducing crime and the fear of crime.
Public Works
The Public Works & Utilities Department maintains Village infrastructure and facilities. Public Works maintains signage, snow removal/winter rules and regulations, specialized refuse and recycling program, and street repair and maintenance.
