Community & Economic Development
The Community Development Department works to ensure Belleville's present and future as a livable, inspiring, vibrant, and equitable community. Community Development accomplishes this through Planning & Zoning, Building Inspection, Engineering, Code Enforcement, and Economic Development functions of the Village. To help the department accomplish its goals, the Plan Commission, Community Development Authority (CDA), and Economic Development Commission (EDC) provide guidance and direction in their respective fields.
With long-term, comprehensive planning, we support improvements to the natural, built, and social environments in Belleville, making life and work better for residents, employers, employees, and visitors.
