Parks & Recreation
Community Park is nestled between the northern and southern portions of the residential districts and nearly completely surrounded by Lake Belle View that provides for a spectacular setting for all types of activities. Enjoy a quiet walk, observe wildlife, take in a breathtaking sunset over Lake Belle View or take advantage of the many other park amenities. Recent improvements have been made to the ball field, backstop fencing, along with new lighting. The park hosts many family picnics, weddings and family reunions.
Library Park is beautifully located in the center of town amongst large, mature history-filled oaks. It features a gazebo, fountain, and National Landmark “Old Library” building, which hosts a variety of public meetings. The park also hosts Music in the Park, held every Tuesday in June and July along with Fall Festival, a unique opportunity for the entire family to celebrate the end of the growing season.
Blaser Park is a neighborhood park on the north side of town that features two soccer fields, shelter, and playground equipment.
Greenview Park, at the southeast end of the village is a neighborhood park that includes a shelter and play structure.
Sugar River Park is a 16-acre parcel on the east side of town. It features two soccer fields and a small ball diamond that provide needed athletic facilities for our growing youth athletic programs. Playground equipment, a shelter, restrooms and picnic tables provide a great place for family picnics and reunions. The park also becomes the focus of the community each year as we celebrate our tradition-rich Community Picnic weekend in August.
