Village Treasurer
The Village of Belleville is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic municipal leader for the position of Village Treasurer (Finance Director). The Treasurer is a key member of the Village’s management team and works under the direction of the Village Administrator. This position oversees the finance department, assuring that the Village and Belleville Utilities achieves its financial objectives through solid fiscal planning, budgetary controls, and the maintenance of financial accounts and records. In concert with the Village Administrator, the Treasurer develops and manages the village budget and budget process. This position is responsible for the duties of the Treasurer as set forth in Wisconsin Statutes.
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field is required; a master's degree and/or CPA is preferred with three to five years of experience in a government setting or demonstrable skills in governmental fund accounting. The starting salary is $65,000 to $72,000 +/- DOQ with an excellent benefits package. Benefits include Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Sick Leave, Vacation Leave, Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), Paid Holidays, etc.

Public Works Seasonal Employee
The Village of Belleville, population 2,500, is seeking to fill two seasonal, positions in the Public Works Department. Applicants must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., weekdays during the summer, but may be adjusted based on weather conditions. Requirements include a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and the ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds. Tasks to be performed include Mowing, painting, assisting with trash and brush pickup, and storm drain maintenance. The wage is $13.93/hour.
